Simeon with aluckystroke.com. Today I’m here to talk about The Happy Dance what is a happy dance?
Maybe it’s a cartoon dog doing that little dance! Maybe it’s….. remember precious pup in the cartoons?
I’m dating myself here, he has something he enjoys, he jumps up in the air and then floats down not quite a happy dance but you get the idea.
You’ve got to celebrate life’s little victories!
When you have a stroke my suggestion is to do that happy dance in your mind! Because if you do it any other way you might fall down. They do not want you to fall down that is a bad thing.
So anyways it’s being able to make that one step you could make yesterday, that’s the time for a happy dance! You’re moving from a wheelchair to a Walker, that’s time for happy dance!
You are moving from that Walker to walking sticks or canes, that’s time for happy dance!
Whatever physiotherapists are doing is working!
You’ve got to be be happy about it. That would be another time for the happy dance in your mind!
You know the happy dance in your mind is not just for stroke victims but for everyday regular people.
One other thing I want to talk about his being grateful for what you have. For being alive every morning (slap arm ) I give myself A tap before I get out of bed I’m here!
That’s a good thing! It’s a good thing when you had a stroke if you don’t have feeling that’s not a good thing.
Then I get out of bed and I’m grateful for the day that’s been given to me it’s a gift.
So we need to learn to take all those gifts be grateful for them.
Do those happy dances!
Claim those victories!
Take on the day!
It’s Simeon Garriott with aluckystroke.com wishing you a Happy Dance Day!
